The Printed Blog is the world’s only print publication comprised entirely of blogs. Not only do we publish bloggers, but we pay them, too.
When you join The Printed Blog Blogger Network, you are indicating your interest in being considered for publication. Our editors will review your blog to see if there is a post that would be appropriate for an upcoming issue. If we find one, we’ll contact you and request explicit permission to publish it.
Should you agree, we’ll send you a check based on the current fee schedule (as of Q4 2011, the fee is $50.00US per post). If you write something that you are particularly proud of, send us an email; our editors will pay special attention to it: blogger@theprintedblog.com.
Contributing to The Printed Blog is easy.
All you need to do is join the Network, grant us permission to review your work, and then keep writing! One day you may get an email requesting permission to publish a post. That’s it. Use the form below to register with The Printed Blog Blogger Network (it’s the first section). Review the other sections for other important information.

Global and Topic Focused Publishing Opportunities
The Printed Blog has gone global
We have licensed The Printed Blog to publishers in St. Petersburg, Russia and Lisbon, Portugal. After the first of the year (2012), those teams will be expanding into Moscow and Kiev, Ukraine, as well as Madrid, Spain and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Bloggers published in the US edition of The Printed Blog have had their work translated and published internationally, helping to increase their exposure – The Printed Blog is now a truly global publication. If your blog is in Russian or Portuguese, please feel free to join the Network – we’ll make sure that editors in the appropriate country are notified. Since all of our licensed editions share the Network, you may be contacted by a representative from Russia or Portugal requesting permission to publish your content in their magazine. We will not publish your work in multiple editions without your explicit permission to do so.
The Printed Blog is preparing to launch editions of the magazine that are focused on topic areas, rather than geography. Specifically, we are preparing to launch a monthly edition of The Printed Blog in the US for fashion and music. Should you wish your blog to be considered only for a specific edition of The Printed Blog, please send a note to blogger@theprintedblog.com. Make sure to include the name of your blog and contact information.
The Printed Blog Radio and TV
The Printed Blog is expanding into other media
The Printed Blog is currently developing a US-based TV show featuring bloggers. We are looking for bloggers (and photographers) to feature, as well as on-camera hosts. If you would like to suggest a blogger to feature (feel free to suggest yourself), send an email to: blogger@theprintedblog.com. This show will be patterned after The Printed Blog TV show in Portugal that will air in early December.
The Printed Blog Portugal is also about to launch a radio show on Vodafone.fm. Sign up for The Printed Blog mailing list to get more information on radio shows in Portugal and the rest of the world.
Licensing The Printed Blog
The Printed Blog everywhere
We’re licensing The Printed Blog globally, and are seeking qualified publishers with a geographic and/or topic focus. Independent publishers produce local editions of The Printed Blog in St. Petersburg, Russia and Lisbon, Portugal – they are expanding to Moscow, Madrid, and Sao Paulo early next year.
If you own (or work for) an existing newspaper or magazine (online or offline) and wish to expand its appeal and address a wider audience, consider producing your own edition of The Printed Blog. Learn more…
The Printed Blog Guest Editors
Help produce The Printed Blog
The Printed Blog is produced by a rotating group of guest editors. A guest editor is responsible for selecting posts and helping to align those posts with photography. A guest editor will generally work on three or four issues, although some guest editors have helped for 10 or more.
Guest editors can be located anywhere in the world. If you’d like to be considered to be a guest editor, please fill out the form below. If you would like more information, please contact us at editor@theprintedblog.com or call us at (312) 305-1000.
Additional Information Regarding Content and the Network
We do not solicit original content produced specifically for our publication.
The only original content created for The Printed Blog is produced by our staff, and includes things like feature articles or interviews with bloggers and/or photographers, or an editorial introduction to an issue.
If your content is not available online, we will not publish it (it doesn’t have to be on your blog, but it has to be accessible somewhere online). If you are a writer or a journalist and you do not have a blog, contact us at blogger@theprintedblog.com and we can help you set one up. In rare cases, we’ll post content to The Printed Blog’s blog so it might be published.
If you join The Printed Blog Blogger Network, you are only granting us the right to review your blog – you are under no obligation to grant permission for us to publish your work. You can leave The Printed Blog Blogger Network at any time by sending an email to blogger@theprintedblog.com. If we do wish to publish something of yours, you’ll receive an email explicitly asking for permission to publish a specific post for a specific issue. We don’t typically use a form or contract; most bloggers grant permission in a simple statement in an email.
When you grant us the right to republish a post, it is for a single edition of The Printed Blog and its corresponding electronic versions (PDF, tablet, web site, etc.). You retain ownership and copyright of your work, and may republish it or use it in any way you please. However, you must own the rights to your work in order for us to publish it. If it’s been previously published on a site that owns the rights, it’s ineligible for publication in The Printed Blog.
